  1. Deb and PAul-
Good morning... (it is Anika, by the way!) I am sitting at the bar at Pub Hastings. We had a 37th birthday party for Jenn last night, and as usual it was a memorable evening of pool, food, family, music and FUN! I loved your writing about Wharton, Deb. I believe in the power of JOY, too. It is always good to be reminded to celebrate regularly- and there is so much to celebrate when we open our hearts to our lives and all the wonder. My kids help me to do that- to enJOY the excitement when Elias catches a frog, building a giant sand castle on a cloudy, misting beach, lots of beach baseball, when Ani calmly and confindently leaves for overnight camp for the first time, the exuberance of many cousins together playing together, seeing Erica's belly as it grows with the miracle of soon to be born (September) baby Owen, the sun over the pool this morning after WEEKS of rain. The sun alone is cause for celebration for me. My most recent moment of joy? Just seeing Brian walk in to the pub with his hair sticking out to greet all the points of the compass! Life is good, on our side of the world. We are missing you both, and looking forward to a big reunion when you return. Thanks for this glimpse into your lives- it enriches my own. Love from Uncle Brian- and from me... Anika
